What is the world saying about the future of education?
What will Education look like in 2030? Following our first round of global events sharing 5 Scenarios for Education in 2030, we uncovered more insights this week on how the world is thinking about the future of Education at EdCrunch’s Annual Summit in Moscow, the largest event for education innovation and transformation in the region, attracting over 4,000 leaders from around the world.
We now have more than 5000 votes from around the world, a much more diverse sample representing the entire ecosystem. The latest Russia votes for “Preferred Scenario” is shown below alongside the other major markets around the world.
EdCrunch 2018 opened with three school children firing questions about their educational journey and expectations to a panel of Russia’s leading Chancellors, Ministers and Coursera’s CEO Jeff Maggioncalda. Panels boasting executives from EdX, Age of Learning, Josh Bersin, ISTE, Minerva and many other international institutions shared their insights on innovation in education with the summit too.
Both the Global Learning Landscape and Education in 2030 were translated into Russian and launched at EdCrunch with hundreds of Russian education teachers, administrators, entrepreneurs and investors voting on the five scenarios for education in 2030.
Russia’s preferences for the five scenarios generally followed the global trends with a generally stronger preference for Regional Rising and slightly lower preference for Robo Revolution. Peer to Peer came out on top as it has formal markets bar China where Robo Revolution has taken the lead.
