The Day 1 Agenda commences at 2pm with an inspiring afternoon of finalist pitches at the Milken-Penn GSE Education Business Plan Competition, which celebrates purpose-driven ventures that seek to address systemic inequities in education through innovation. The Day 1 Agenda also includes Invitation-only roundtables (Foundation & Philanthropy; CEOs, Media, Private Equity) and workshops for  Higher Education Leaders. 9:30 AM. Foundations and Philanthropy. This half day workshop includes a series of Roundtable Sessions for designed for Foundation and Philanthropic leaders.

10:00 AM Host: Western Governors University. Join leading foundations and WGU as they discuss leveraging AI, big data, and learning science to drive and scale innovation across the higher education sector. Learn about impactful initiatives and future opportunities aimed at meeting the diverse needs of learners and of the changing workforce worldwide. This roundtable will get behind the scenes of what it takes to build solutions that scale.

LEGO Education, alongside researchers and US educators discuss findings of a 4-state longitudinal study on student outcomes within low- and high-resourced school environments and the evidence-based approaches they used to enhance student engagement and professional development while preserving existing curriculum structures. 3:00 PM. Workshop 5. Growing Online Programs without Breaking the Bank. Hosted by Rhodes Advisors, this workshop will unpack the strategies to evaluate and optimize the cost of acquiring students for online programs.

4:00 PM. Workshop 6. Beyond LLMs: Reimagining Higher Education in the Age of GenAI. Hosted by Google, this workshop explores how multi-modal and agent-driven AI experiences are changing the way we teach, learn, and research.
