Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) launches Future Classroom-Learning Innovation portal to convey progress in various demonstration projects and provide information on latest EdTech trends. The ministry has also submitted a new budget proposal of 1.8 JPY (16m USD) to promote STEAM education, utilizing EdTech in public education. Japanese and American universities collaborate to develop online learning program.
