Deontée Gordon

Deontée Gordon is the president of TechBirmingham and executive director of TechAlabama. A Birmingham native, he graduated from Ramsay High School in 2001 and earned a degree in entrepreneurship and marketing from Auburn University.  

Gordon began his career as a leasing consultant and production tech before launching his own consultancy. He later worked as a senior consultant for Infomedia and Chronical Studio and was a managing partner at Corvus. In 2015, he became director of business development at REV Birmingham, where he helped develop the REVeal Kitchen at Pizitz Food Hall. He took over TechBirmingham in 2017 and TechAlabama 16 months later.  

Active in the community, Gordon has served on the boards of the Railroad Park Foundation, Growing Kings, and the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute, among others. In 2012, he was named Top Beau of Birmingham by My Scoop readers.
