Imran Oomer is a seasoned education and workforce development entrepreneur with experience across K-12, higher ed, and high-skilled industries in the US and globally. Imran is a co-founder at inSpring, a national workforce development organization that operates Regional Talent Hubs to accelerate the mobility, readiness, and retention of skilled talent for high demand, critical industries. Imran co-led the partnership with Talent Mobility Fund to accelerate inSpring’s impact across the US skilled workforce. inSpring’s regional hub approach is designed to be a novel, permanent fixture in regions across the U.S., with the intention to scale to 30+ hubs over the next ten years. This network will serve as a vehicle for TMF to launch, activate, and measure existing and future investments to expand its impact on the U.S. STEM talent ecosystem. Prior to inSpring, Imran was a Senior Vice President of Shorelight, the largest international student aggregator in the US that served 100+ universities and supported the enrollment management and retention of 40,000+ candidates across the US. Imran is a first-generation American with family originally from Mumbai, India. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and received his MBA from ESADE Business School in Spain, where he was the recipient of the 2012 Global Fellowship.
