As the head of Sharpen at McGraw Hill, Kat leads the strategy, development, and go-to-market execution of an innovative EdTech platform that has scaled from 0-1 to hundreds of thousands of users, achieved a feature on the App Store, and secured paying customers within its first year. Sharpen delivers an AI-powered, personalized study experience for college students, using trusted content and engaging exam prep activities to improve academic outcomes.

Previously, Kat co-led corporate strategy, M&A, and various transformation initiatives across McGraw Hill’s global business. Prior to joining McGraw Hill, she consulted for Fortune 500 executives, nonprofit leaders, and government officials. Kat has also co-authored research on inter-city collaboration, recently published in Global Policy.

Kat is a proud alumna of Miami-Dade County Public Schools and is actively involved in the Miami Tech community. She holds an MBA from Tuck and an MPA from Harvard.
