Maysam leads the Go-to-Market team for Global Education at AWS, where she develops strategies for growth across the education industry. Prior to AWS, Maysam was the Aspen Institute’s Stevens Initiative Deputy Director, where she launched a public-private partnership bringing together young learners in the United States and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) through online collaboration learning programs. She also served as Deputy Director for the Institute’s Middle East Programs. Prior to that, she worked as a reporter in Dubai and Beirut. Maysam holds a Masters in International Economics and Middle East Studies from the Johns Hopkin’s School of Advanced International Studies and a bachelor of arts from the American University of Beirut. In 2016, Maysam was named an Asia 21 Young Leader, a fellowship offered to individuals based on outstanding achievement, commitment to public service, and a proven ability to make the world a better place.
