Dr. Sadie Stockdale Jefferson is the Executive Director of the University of Chicago's Education Lab. With a start as a classroom teacher, Sadie’s deep commitment to education has been the foundation of her career and remains core to the work she does today. Over the past 15 years, she has made significant contributions in the Government and Nonprofit sectors. Prior to leading the Lab, Sadie led the foundation for Chicago Public Schools and served as Deputy Chief of Staff for then CEO, Dr. Janice Jackson. Before that, she was the Director of Education for Mayor Rahm Emanuel. Her experience in both teaching and leadership roles drives her passion for creating impactful educational solutions.
