Major online providers are rethinking their strategies to boost their bottom lines as the and tech giants continue to tap into the education market

Southern New Hampshire University online plans to triple its student numbers to 300,000 by 2023 via an ‘aggressive’ agenda of scale. Another online provider, Udacity, is rolling out a new term schedule that is akin to a traditional institution’s calendar, growing its revenue by pivoting away from its MOOC origins.

Meanwhile, the tech giants continue their move into the education business, with Amazon making freely available its internal machine learning certification, Apple hosting in-store coding sessions and Facebook launching courses in digital marketing
